Duties

The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties the Finance Assistant undertakes:

Maintenance and posting of month end adjustments and journals to the nominal ledger
Reconciliation and maintenance of accruals, prepayments and other debtors accounts
Monitoring of control accounts
Creation of Balance sheet control files and foreign currency rate files
Compiling backing documentation for financial and tax audits and fixed asset registers
Produce Intercompany account reconciliations
Key Bank payments
Recording Cashbook entries for the Pension Scheme
Keeping Inspection records for international entities
Ad hoc reports and queries and reconciliations

Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role)

Previous experience gained within a finance capacity
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
